Adegas Arousa was established in 1999 by four young entrepreneurs, sons of well-known vine growers, whose aim was to establish a prestigious, quality firm.

The vineyard is located between the slope of Monte Cabalos and the left bank of the river Umia, at the municipality of Vilanova de Arousa. This stone house, surrounded by vineyards and gardens, was built in 1975. The cellar in the strict sense is 700 m2 / 7.534 square feet, and it includes a deposit area, an area for receiving the grapes, a bottling area, a stockroom, and a showroom for wine-tasting. The total area of the vineyard is 15 hectares / 37 acres. Five hectares / 12∙3 acres are planted with grapevines that are over 20 years old, 9∙88 acres / 10 acres belong to the year 1998, and the remainder belongs to the year 2003.

It is worth highlighting that nowadays the winery owns 20 hectares of vineyards. As all this land is managed under the same criteria, this allows for quality control and traceability of the grapes.
