Bouza de Carril started as a hobby of Luis Rodriguez Balsa, the founder. At the end of the 1970s he began planting the first Albariño vines.

This variety of grapes was his personal stake, and it was planted throughout his properties, located at the heart of O Salnés, and warmed by the Atlantic climate. In 1996 his business entered Consejo Regulador Rías Baixas the Regulator Board.

Bouza de Carril is a small family business, where the vines are carefully exploited, and the productive process is devotedly developed, since the traditional ways of production are still observed, combined with the most modern technology. The selection of the best racemes results in a top-quality wine with a pronounced personality. Nowadays, Bouza de Carril is a vineyard belonging to the mark of origin Rías Baixas that has been growing year after year and has obtained one of the best wines in Rías Baixas., as manifold awards can prove.

Their Albariño wine Bouza de Carril is exclusively made from Albariño grapes. This is a straw-like yellow wine, with golden gleams. It is apple and pineapple-flavoured. The taste is wide, balanced, persistent and with a strong personality.
