Established in 2004, Castro Baroña is an independent wine producing firm run by a group of dynamic and experienced professionals of the wine business.

The main product, Castro de Baroña has been present at the Galician market since 1996. The great success achieved gave rise to the building of a cellar in order to guarantee the elaboration of an excellent Albariño in their own premises.

Castro de Baroña is located at the heart of Valle de O Salnés, at Meis, just by the motorway known as Vía Rápida, which leads to Sanxenxo. The modern premises are equipped with the necessary machinery to achieve the maximum quality: stainless steel tanks with capacities ranging from 5,000 l to 25,000 l intended for a better fermentation, and a sophisticated pneumatic press.

The aim of this firm is to elaborate wines exclusively based on the Albariño variety year after year. The human factor is intended to shape to profile of the wine without affecting the quality of the grapes. Neat wines bottled under the names of Castro Baroña, and Lagar do Castelo, with pungent and intensely fruit-like fragrances, their taste is fine and long.
