Centro Comarcal do Salnés is a part of the network of District Centres belonging to Xunta de Galicia "the regional Government". It is located at Cambados, at Paseo de la Calzada "in the historic centre of the town" within the house known as Casa de la Calzada, which was restored in 1997.

It is an old noble house, where new building materials and techniques involving the new function of the building combine with traditional materials and techniques related to the old building. The centre has several permanent and temporary exhibitions. The contents deal with the following issues:

- Vine and grape growing production. The centre has a permanent exhibition of Albariño wine bottles, promotional items about the itinerary, as well as several panels displaying the productive process of elaboration of wine, the origins of Albariño wine, posters concerning the mark of origin Rías Baixas, an ancient wine press made of wood and stone, and etcetera.

- The artistic and historical heritage. Pazos, archaeological resources, and etc.

- Culture: biographies of Galician artists, such as Valle-Inclán, Ramón Cabanillas, Herminia Fariña, Xulio Camba, Asorey...

- The craftworks made in the district

- Fishing

- Landscapes and environment

- Audiovisuals with information about the district of O Salnés

- Tradition, and leisure time.
