Opened in 1987, this winery has lived a life parallel to the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin.

This winery is a pioneer in the area, it combines an innovative spirit with an interpretation of the most deeply-rooted traditions of Val do Salnés, the historical capital of Albariño.

In line with the sloping landscape of the estate, the Mar de Frades building which was inaugurated in 2007, integrated into the scenery with a characteristic grey granite facade, covered with copper and burnished by the Galician climate.

During the visit you get a close view of one of the most beautiful wineries of the region. Its state-of-the-art architecture is perfectly integrated into the forest which crowns the Monte Valiñas. Its incredible views help us to understand the Atlantic spirit of Albariño and inspire the fabulous delight of its wines.

A vast indoor area houses the production facilities where the cold stainless steel is combined with the quality of noble woods and blue and orange colours of the Mar de Frades brand.

The visit consists of a tour of the vineyard and the winery's facilities accompanied by the company's employees, answering your questions, and to finish off there will be a tasting of Mar de Frades wine.

The views of the estuary accompany us throughout the entire tour, from the bottling line to the wine tasting room.
