The current owners purchased the Pazo in 1979. The wine production started in 1989, although vine growing started in the early 1980s. The first wine was made with grapes collected in 1990.
Behind the Pazo, amid lemon trees, pines, and eucalyptuses, there is a small trained vine displaying the typical props of the Galician vines. The vineyard stretches within an area of 5 km / 3 miles. The soil is composed of silica, granite, and decaying plants. The subsoil offers slight variations on a common basis.
The relatively rainy Atlantic weather made the acclimatization of Albariño grapes possible. This variety is undoubtedly a top-rank one among the autochthonous white grapes in Spain.
