Don Ramón María del Valle Inclán`s house is located in the old quarter of this sea town
This famous character does not forget the town that saw his birth -and even the Salnés county- in his prolific literary work and this is reflected in several texts such as:
We caught the land of Salnés, where the house of my grandparents used to be, and where I grew up from young boy to blackthorn lad... - (The Wonderful Lamp).
A beach of pine groves: in that desolate vastness, the wind and the sea put their voices together in a dark and frightful sound. The boat, with broken sails, has made her way through the shore reefs and a sailor leaps ashore to survey the land.(Wolves Romance).
That house where the writer used to listen to the stories about saints, lost souls, goblins and thieves was a building with a traditional ground plan built in irregular masonry, closed by a stone wall and surrounded by a garden. The plant is L-shaped and it is formed by ground floor and main floor (where the living space is located). The access to this main floor is by means of some steps ending in the typical patín (a small courtyard).
