It is a single nave church with square apse, barrel vault and triumphal arch. The building keeps twelve ship bow corbels, a straight edge cornice, three buttresses and the remnants of large semicircular windows that are currently bricked up.

The main façade is divided in three sections by two buttresses joined by a straight bevel impost without any decoration. The main door is located within the frame made up by these elements: it is splayed door with double Doric archivolt resting on four smooth-shaft columns, flat-leaf capitals ending in spirals and flattened abacuses imposted to the wall and the two buttresses surrounding the door. The tympanum, located on two bow recesses, is decorated with a cross in the middle. This façade underwent important remodelling works and both the bell tower and the window are from the 18th century. The Southern façade has a buttress in degrees and a blind arched door.

There is nothing inside the church, except for the walls, that may lead us to classify it as Romanesque.
The church is mainly known because of its four 16th-century canopies that are engraved on the stone wall surrounding the church atrium. The four pieces are engraved on ogee arches with representations of a Santiago Matamouros, Christ´s Nativity, the Epiphany and the descent from the Cross.

Other elements from this parish set to be highlighted are the six stone stations of the Way of the Cross located around the church and dating back to the 18th century. These pieces are octagonal with Romanesque influence.

Localition: The church is located at a place called A Igrexa, at the parish of Meis, EP-9402 road.
