Punta Carreirón

Carreirón Natural Park, which occupies all the Southern area of A Illa de Arousa, is the place chosen by several bird species to breed and to rest during their migratory passage.

We can see the herons fishing and the flocks of duck in the salt marshes from the different cabins built for that purpose. The natural richness of the area allows the observation of a wide variety of ecosystems: dunes, salt marshes, scrubland, pine groves and an amazing underwater landscape on the coastline.

Geographic location: Carreirón Natural Park is located at the Southern end of Illa de Arousa, with an approximate area of 1.3 square Km.
