Transportation

It is easy to get on the route thanks to a very varied, efficient transport network suitable for all methods.

Road transport

The Rías Baixas Wine Route is connected to the main roads in Galicia, these being the AP-9 and the N-550 that cross Galicia from north to south from A Coruña to Tui (Pontevedra), the A-52 that links Benavente (Zamora) and Vigo (Pontevedra) , and the AG-53 between Ourense and Santiago de Compostela. The route encompasses an extensive road network that shortens distances and makes for convenient travel.
The O Salnés zone is linked to the AP-9 and the N-550 by the AG-41 highway that crosses the south of O Salnés which goes as far as Sanxenxo and O Grove, the N-640 that joins Silleda and Vilagarcía de Arousa, and the fast roads of Cambados-Vilagarcía de Arousa (VG-4.3) and Cambados-Ribadumia (VG-4.2) O Rosal is reached via the PO-552 that connects by the AP-9 with the rest of Galicia, and Portugal via the A3 (which comes in through Tui) and the A-23 which crosses directly in Goián (Tomiño).
Ribeira do Ulla is crossed by the N-525 and the Galicia Central Motorway (AG-53) which links Santiago de Compostela with Ourense, the AG-53 has an exit in Vedra.

Marine Transport

The coastal portion of the Rías Baixas Wine Route boasts a great selection of ports of all types where fishing and business activities take place, as well as passenger transport and numerous leisure activities.
In the Salnés area the main port is Vilagarcía de Arousa, but the ports of Vilaxoán (Vilagarcía de Arousa), Carril (Vilagarcía de Arousa), A Toxa (O Grove), O Grove, Meloxo (O Grove), Santo Tomé (Cambados), Tragrove (Cambados), Cambados, San Miguel de Deiro (Vilanova de Arousa), and As Sinas (Vilanova de Arousa), are also to be found.

Among the sporting ports, the most outstanding are Juan Carlos I (Sanxenxo), the Vilanova de Arousa sporting port, the one in Pedras Negras (O Grove), and Portonovo (Sanxenxo).
The most important ports in the O Rosal zone are those in Goián (Tomiño), de Pasaxe (A Guarda) and A Guarda. The Tui sporting port is also in the surrounding area.

River Transport

Rail Transport

RENFE offers a rail transport service for the Salnés and Ribeira do Ulla zone. In the O Rosal zone, although there is no actual station, there is a stop in Guillarei (Tui) some 20 km from the Route.In the Salnés zone, the Vilagarcía de Arousa station offers a continuous service between A Coruña and Vigo. Ribeira do Ulla is connected by the line that joins Ourense with Santiago de Compostela, and stops at the Vedra-Ribadulla (Vedra Town Hall) station.

Air Transport

The Route can be found within a radius of less than 100 km of the airports of Santiago de Compostela, Vigo, A Coruña and Oporto.
